The Kruthaupt and McAdoo families — owners of Throttle Therapy, a private off-road vacation rental in Lake Anna, Virginia
Stewardship

Veteran & first-responder owned. Family run.

Two families from Annapolis — the Kruthaupts and the McAdoos. We spent two years looking for a piece of land where we could legally ride with our kids. We bought a farm.

Riding became our therapy. Now we share it.

I had the pleasure of visiting for the first time recently. Throttle therapy welcomed me with open arms and quickly answered any questions about the multitude of trails and tracks. It all felt very friendly with clear markings of where and where not to go, plus a variety of different route options throughout the entirety. The owner Scott checked with me multiple times throughout the day to verify if I had tried all the different areas available with tips for the different spots. Trails and tracks were clean and had varying levels of difficulty, Even for advanced riders. This place is a dream come true.

Couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. The house is great and includes most necessities so there is less stress when packing. The trails and tracks are well groomed and so much fun. So happy this place exists and we definitely will be returning!

Awesome place to visit. Cant say enough good things. Just about everything we didnt think of, the house already had. Track and trail setup is unbelievably organized. Definitely a spot you don’t want to miss out on. Owners were very attentive to all of our groups’ needs and gave very detailed instructions for check-in and check-out. Had an absolute blast.

I had an awesome, unforgettable time at Throttle Therapy. We’re already planning our trip back next year. The house was clean and fully stocked, which made everything easy. As a part-time chef, I especially appreciated the Blackstone, it made me feel right at home. The main track, single track, and technical sections were all a blast. The wash station was a great touch too. Overall, an incredible experience.

Throttle Therapy is definitely going to be a yearly trip for us. The house was clean and had all the essentials already there which made life alot easier. From the moment we hit the front gate we were immediately impressed by the size of the property, the way it was well maintained, and the overall great riding. The big track was amazing and the trails were unbelievable the way the owners spent so much time marking everything out and maximizing the space. The fire pit every night was great to relax and unwind after great days of riding and shooting. Highly recommend anyone that likes to ride to go check this place out. It has riding for every type of rider and every skill set. Can't wait to go back next year.
